U.S. May Host Two F1 Events

Not long ago New Jersey was set to host the first Grand Prix event the United States has seen for quite some time. Activists turned against the idea and put enough pressure on Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy that the project was nixed. An alternate site was found in Austin, Texas and the story ended, or did it?

According to a recent report in The Wall Street Journal, another site in New Jersey is being considered – great news for New Jersey car loan shoppers. The new plan also avoids the use of a single penny of public funds. Austin already has a track under construction, but that is not going to be a waste of time and effort because the New Jersey location is being considered for a second Grand Prix event.

It sounds like the U.S. may go from zero to two events in a short time. Looking at the popularity of NASCAR it is easy to see that Americans love racing. Hopefully, Grand Prix racing can catch an even bigger spark with U.S. based races.
